Expat Shopping Guide
When I first moved to Spain, in the days before online shopping, the only way to get British goods was to make regular trips to the UK, or pass long shopping lists onto visiting friends.
Luckily the growth of the Internet and particularly online
shopping means that there are now very few non-food items that remain inaccesible.
Expat Shopping in Euros
Aimed specifically aimed at the expat market, these sites are specially designed to offer a wide range of goods from their UK stock to Spanish residents for a small delivery charge.
The following are some of my favourite sites:
- Argos - Argos have recently launched a Spanish version of their catalogue covering most of items in the UK catalogue other than larger electrical and furniture items. They deliver through mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands for a flat delivery cost of €9.95.
- Littlewoods Europe - Long established in the UK, Littlewoods have just launched an expat site covering Spain (plus Germany, France and Portugal). Their product offerings include everyday essentials such as clothing, footwear, toys, accessories, DVDs, games and books. In addition to this, they offer products which are hard to find in Europe, such as king sized bedding, rectangular pillowcases, cotton maxi briefs, clothing for the fuller figure and much more! Normal delivery charge is €5 but for a limited time they are offering free delivery on your first order over €50.
- Next - You'll find a wide selection of women's fashions (including lingerie) plus menswear, children's clothing and homewares. Delivery is charged at €5 per order.
